Yes and maybe, in that order, depending how good you are at FRP repair.

Hedge: They ain't hurt. Clean em up and paint em with epoxy mixed to set pretty quick . Use some thirty minute and let it set and start to firm up a little and then paint it on. Let set overnight and file and sand. Finish off with 2000 grit wet dry using it wet and repair will hardly show. Rebalance and go.;
