Well I finally got it in the air!!! The tail is way, way sensitive as you will see on the first part of this video. It took me a little while to get the feel of it. I'll be changing the tail rotor blades for some smaller ones which will be thinner chord and more scale.

Anyway, enjoy the video

One or two people have complained its slow, but others have no trouble. I guesss its how fast the server is working that counts and as its a free one for me, I cant complain. If hasn't speeded up enough tomorrow, I'll do a 320x240 video which will make it smaller and faster to download.

Blade tracking! There are several different ways to do it. I put orange tape on one blade and call it the master. Then I put black tape on another blade and track it to the master. I do each blade in turn until they are all perfect, then I pull off the tape.

Peter you can also upload it to rcuvideos.com They resize it automatically and from my experience it keeps the resolution better than youtube or google, and it's free....

Inspiring..

An absolutely beautiful peice of machinery. One of these days....(as I drift off to a daydream somewhere with the sound of a turbine in the air...aahhh!!!
Please show it again when you have it painted. Can't wait to see it.

Its actually the Vario 3 blade head and blades with no gyros on the head. It is a very stable head to fly. I like it. I have just a few more wrinkles to iron out and I should get it into paint next week if the weather gets warm again.
