Anyone every wonder why they havn't made a smaller TX that is just as powerfull yet? I think something the size of a playstation controller or the likes would be sweet!
I made this one for infrared indoor remote control airplanes from a modified playstation controller. Wouldn't it be cool if your heli TX fit in your pocket like this so you didn't have to lug around a big case?
Of corse, it would have to have a programming screen on it, but that wouldn't make it much larger the way I See it being done..

this TX actually has ele, rudder and throttle capability (3ch) for indoors only. There is trim potentiometers for each channel neatly layed out in the old button holes, and on/off switch in the old "D-pad" space,
a power led, transmitting led, a lipo voltage monitor for a 2 cell lipo power source (that neatly fits in the controller), and a low voltage monitor LED. I used Koichi Tanaka's schematics and printed my own PCB to fit in the remote like the PCB that came in it originally.

I just thought it would be cool if my heli TX was this small. What do you guys think?

a 2.4ghz system could surely fit inside something this small..
(if properly designed and layed out)

The 12 and 14mz are slightly smaller than the normal TX since they have a small lipo battery. I just wonder if they make the TX's so big because people like it that way or what

I'd applaud a smaller, easier to grip and more comfortable computer heli transmitter system. Even if it only had the capabilities of say a futaba 9C or a spektrum DX6.
