hey guys... i am new to nitros... what is the best starter for starting up the YS91 engine? I've heard many complaints about the Mavrikk Hydratork so don't want to go that way but I am seriously considering the HOBBICO TORQMASTER 180 from TowerHobbies but I am not sure if a 12V power would crank up the monster... or would I need something else? or maybe a higher voltage pack for the 180? Any Inputs from you experienced folks out there... thanks.

There are many threads on this subject. Here's one.

The torquemaster 180 or sullivan dynatron can both run 18v which works great--12v is not enough. The dynatron is a heavier duty starter, but both are great. There are adaptors out there to allow 18v 3a mikita tool batteries to be used or you can just use a 12v and 6v gel cells with a short jumper between the + and - of the cells to get 18v.

Enjoy, Tom

Starter

I have purchased the starter tday is talking about and everyone at the field wants to use it and it's about 75.00 cheaper than the sullivan setup. It is a great set and is very compact.

Enjoy the day for we know not what tomorrow holds
