hey fellas, a few questions for you:

setup~
L103d
1910/1y
CC45HV
HVBEC

Switching from 8s emoli to 6s TP Xtreme 5000mah

1) Will my ESC be okay with this battery switch? I don't like pushing hardware to its limits.

2) what pinion do I need for a 2200RPM headspeed for hard 3d? Or, would you reccomend a different headspeed?

3) these batterys are an investment. i have an astro109 charger and a TP 2-10 cell balancer. Would you use that charging equipment on these great batteries?

Thanks! Adam

Pinion 20 or 21 for hard 3d will be fine. 1910 1Y is a 1080KV. Not sure your CC45HV Amp will be enough. I reached 72Amp with the same setting...
If you need a pinion calculator, go here
Don't know the astro charger, use only TP charger!

I beleive alot of people are using the CC45HV. I'm not sure for how hard 3D. As for a charger I have a Astroflight 109 and blinky. I'm looking for an Orbit though. They seem to be the best top end charger for the money if you live in the US.

I have an orbit Pocketlader, but I think that only goes up to 5 cells???

If the CC45 will be stretching it, what will you reccomend?

Thanks, Adam

6s TP Xtreme 5000mah

Thats a fairly heavy lump for a logo 10. ls anybody else using it for hard 3D?. l think most are using the TP 3850 or Flight Power 3700.

Flybars. Who needs `em.

Heck your really gonna have to just start buying pinoions too. I have a Tangp 1070 kv motor and every one says 21T for 3D. But on my set up I have an 18T pinion in and I have a 2000HS at 45%.
And I fly maxamps 6S 4000's but I have flow a 6S 6000 too. It was a lil heavy but not bad. You could trim it out.
Yah pocket latter is only 5S but its nice. As far as an ESC I would recomend a JAZZ55-10-32. Rated to 55A but it can handle alot more. This is the ESC of choice for the L10. Otherwise I would probably get a CC85HV or a throw away align 75A.

20 tooth will be very adequate on that motor and lipo for solid 3D Adam. Also your esc should be just fine as well, have fun.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

HV45

I have a Castle HV45 in my Logo 10 and it runs just fine, no problems, no fuss(once you get the endpoints set). Afer a flight it's cool and hasn't shown any signs of getting hot like melted shrink wrap. I'm currently using a 19t pinion on a Tango 45-10 and 6S Evo20 3700 packs. Prior to the Tango I was using a Medusa 36mm 1300kv Afterburner with great results, and I'll be installing a 1000kv Afterburner as soon as my new pinion arrives.
If the CC HV45 is rated at 45 amps continuous, then a 6S pack will give you 1000 watts of power continuously. I'm not sure what the surge rating is, but there are plenty of people who 3D their L10 with the HV45. They're made here in the USA by people who answer the phone and it's $135 cheaper than the Jazz.

The best power to weight ratio pack there is for the Logo 10 is the 3700 mah 6S1P FlightPower pack, TPX now has a 3850mah 6S1P as well. Light, lots of burst....
