I posted this once but some thought it was offending that i type in all caps... sorry for that. well i have a 450sa and the spektrum electronic system, i have an align 500x gyro and am still having some problems getting this thing totally tuned. in hover i can trim the rudder to head lock and then fly around for about a min and then take it back to hover and the nose wants to creep to the left. does anyone have any suggestions?

If you are trimming to cancel out the creep, it's going to be one of several problems.
Possibly temperature instability in the sensor - can't do much about this.
Gyroscopic precession errors as a result of the mounting. The mounting can sometimes allow the gyro to 'wobble' in a cyclic fashion. Try using a steel/brass base plate to lower the CG of the gyro and reduce its wobble. This needs to be mounted firmly to the gyro, and soft mounted to the frames.
Irregularities in supply voltage could also cause errors.

ok, i will have to try the mounting change, also, in the instructions it says that you are to turn up gain until you get tail wobble... the tail will never start to do this even at the highest gain setting. Or is tail wobble sometimes not nessacery to get tuned?

The onset of tail wobble with respect to gyro gain will occur in different ways depending on how the heli is flying, ie, FFF, FBF, Tail stands or whatever. Generally you wind up the gain until you notice any kind of tail instability, then back off the gain a few %.
Excessive gains may also result in premature tail servo failure. For example the GY611 is best at about 35% although you can wind it right up before you actually notice any wobble. Sometimes it is beneficial to set the gain by winding it up until the tail begins to hold OK in manouvers like sideways or backwards loops, then increasing the gain until you get wobble and set your final value to be inbetween the two.
