Running a 430L and 35A ESC from align, 401 gyro, 9650 tail servo. During ESC start-up (while it beeps) I get gitter in my tail servo. I'm assuming it's from the gyro getting noise from the motor. After it arms there are no effects at all and it flies like a champ. I have a ferrite ring on the BEC wire and I'm running a DX7 with the new AR6100 Rx.

Since space is even more limited on the MX than it is a t-rex, I have to ESC under the main tray, Rx in the back, and the gyro is under the main shaft. The gyro wires are no where near the motor, but the gyro itself is about 2cm away from the motor. Is this something that I should be worried about? It hasn't caused any issues and only gitches in sync with the beep, then it stops. I really dont have any more servo wire length, or room to mount things in a different location. I'd rather do everything I can to NOT put the gyro on a boom mount. I never had this issue with the stock helimax motor and speed control and everything was in the same location. Any input? Anyone else with a similar issue?

Sounds like its just part of the gyro arming. It's just centering.

I have heard of others having servo gitters when the esc arms and makes tones. Those cases prevented the gyro from working properly. I think you are right about the source, but if you can go fly and the gyro works well, don't worry about it! You could try unplugging the gyro from the receiver until the ESC arms, but what's the point? I really don't think you'll have any trouble if the gyro is acting normal after initializing.

I have my Telebee gyro in the main tray, back under the tail belt pully. Never have a problem with it there with an Astroflight motor.

I had placed my 401 a couple cm from my ESC once - the gyro was unusable - moved up under the boom and everything was fine. It is the most sensitive piece of electronics on the heli - I would get it as far from the motor/ESC as possible. Just my 2 cents.
