Hello all,

I just finished my Century Bell 222 with Raptor 50 mechanics and was wondering what type of setup I should have as far as the pitch(min/max in degrees) settings and also the throttle(headspeed). Also, what should cyclic throw be and how much expo if any? My transmitter that I am using is the JR 9303.

Your help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Tim

My Century Airwolf Settings

Hi Tim!

My Batocpter is a Raptor 50 with Century Airwolf (which is approximately the same fuse as the bell).

My minimumpitch is -5 degrees for good scale flying.
Maximumpitch is ... I dont know. It is given by mechanics and fuse. The "nose" of one part of the mechanics (dont know the right word)=50PV0012 "pitchbridge" is nearby the hatch = maximum.

Mainrotospeed is 1650.

Pitchcurve at the transmitter is modified. Without fuse it was
5-30-50-75-95. Now it is
5-35-60-85-100.

Do you have some pics of your "Beauty Queen"?

Bye

Kurt

I would use blue dampeners and make sure they are well lubed so you can run the lower head speeds w/o nodding.

For pitch I'd say -5 or -6 on the bottom and 9 on the top.

Head speed 1650 sounds about right.

5 or at the most 6 degrees of cyclic with 25 percent expo.

Thanks for all the help guys!! I flew the Bell this morning for 3 tanks and it is just simply amazing. My friends were with me and they were in total amazement because I am usually doing 3D with my other raptors and when they saw me flying just nice calm patterns they loved it. I used all the settings that you recommended and it flyies like a dream!

The only problem though is that one of my servos on the left side retract is stripped, or at least I believe it is, because it just keeps running and making clicking noises when I flip the switch to retract the wheels in. When I "help it out" on the retract it stays locked solid. It sure is gonna be a pain to fix this problem.
