Hi everyone,

I am looking into getting my first 90 size heli. I am after a top end machine for hard 3D. Do you feel like the Vibe or Stratus better? Are there advantages to one over the other? I like the looks of the Stratus better but I know that looks arent everything. Which heli has an overall higher quality? Which one costs more after a crash to get running again? Is there anything I should watch out for on either of these machines? Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew

Can't go wrong with either one. Also Consider the Fury Extreme. Slightly lower cost same great quality and flying characteristics.

Does either heli have an edge over the other? I have heard that the Stratus needs more attention to maintenance. Is this true?

I own both and both have their seperate issues. The vibe uses a single control arm for the fly bar which hold the bar with a single set screw on each side. The Stratus has a double control arm like the raptor and evo. alot more support and less chance to slip. The xcell has uniball clutch set up that is kind of tricky to get aligned right but once you learn how it is not so bad. They both fly great and parts are equally hard to get. I have more xcells than JR's probably because I have been flying them longer.

I have both and they fly very simular. The Vibe is very fast in foward flight, the Stratus might be a little easier to fly. Both are very solid and dont require any special attention other than a check over every now and then.I would say the quality is equal on both, the Vibe is easier to build.DOUG

Take the canopy off and it looks like the Vibe is a Fury frame with Vigor swash, head and clutch.

Hi

I would definitly go for a Vibe. Why? I have flown an Extreme from a friend and I have Vibe. The Extreme was not as smooth as the Vibe is. The Vibe flies like a train on a rail. I felt the Extreme is a bit flying like a raptor. A Vibe is a 3D AND F3C machine, when you are not moving the sticks, the heli is going straight forward.

A MA helicopter has much more parts than a Vibe.
