I'm running 9252's with 6V (and step down for tail servo) and they run nice and fast. I'm driving it with a DX7

Just wondering how you all step down the current on the 600 so that the servos get 6v's and the gyro gets 4.8?

I fly all my nitro helis with a Arizona regulator, just wondering how to do it if I get a T-rex 600.

Thanks,

The align BEC puts out 6V.

By the way I have no idea why it is called BEC which I think means Battery Eliminator Circuitry, a term coined by Novak in the 80's for their first speed controllers that let you not carry a RX pack. The Align BEC actually just takes a dedicated RX Lipo and drives the receiver and speed controller.

anyway the BEC comes with a step down that plugs in between the Gyro and the tail servo itself. So the gyro and gyro amp (in the case of the 611) see 6V while the tail servo itself sees the correct 4.8V

So I thought that it was the gyro that needed the 4.8 but it really the servo. Cool thanks for explaining that mike.
