Hi,just rebuilt my gas Pred. With the usual new bits, mainshaft, spindle, blade grips, bearings etc.
I've noticed bad vibes on the heli now, should the yoke run true?,viewed from the above.mine doesnt, real obvious at spoolup and down.i cant honestly remember before the crash as it was a new built kit.
it appears like a bent mainshaft, but the shaft seems ok.
Blade tracking is spot on too.Blade balance is good also.
One of the two small bolts,in the base, side, of the head yoke, snapped while undoing it during the stripping down and is stuck in,unable to loosen or tighten.
i just put a new one in the other side and tightened it,asuming it would fit snug as before.
any advise please?

should the yoke run true?,
You bet it should. I know there is no mention of this but it is actually a good idea to indicate the yoke while it rotates on the main shaft bearings. Any run out here defeats all the precision balancing of the blades.

Bad news! If you ever want to guarantee run out tighten a two screw pinch clamp unevenly. With one screw missing it will definitely wobble. I would also suggest never use loc-tite on any pinch clamp screw. The load on a pinch clamp screw does not oscillate so it cannot loosen up.

Ace is correct. Tightening one side and not the other would definetly induce a wobble into the system. You probably need a new yoke http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=3676 In the future you just need to snug these, plus 1/4 turn for them to be effective.
