I've been using a raptor 60(stock) for AP & would like any input as to whether I can use 690mm or 700mm blades. Is there a danger of strikes with the longer blades, and under what circumstances? I rarely put the copter more than a few degrees out of level.

Thanks,

Rob

You would likely have a main blade verse tail blade strike with anything over 680mm blades. If you want to run bigger blades I would recommend upgrading the tail boom to a 90 size one and change the tail blades to 105's. Good luck with it.

It's funny, when you look at it on the ground it looks like they won't touch, but they do!My bud has a 60 w/690's,and he got them to touch. He was torqueing them a little. It made a kind of tinny sound when they touched,as he didn't have a major strike.I wouldn't risk it,especially if there's expensive gear your hoisting.Get the 90 boom setup, like S R suggested.

You'll need
(PV0421) Tail Drive Shaft Set R90
(PV0422) Tail Boom R90
(PV0415) Tail Support
(PV0416) Tail Control Rod R90
Cost about $55 Us from http://www.rcpowersupply.com plus shipping, a lot cheaper than a crash
