Had a little 'ol boom strike this afternoon on a firm landing and dosed the tail boom not to mention one blade tip. I'm thinking there is just a little too much space between the grips and roots, but it doesn't look like quite enough to install spacers. Should I be just dogging the bolts down tighter? or mabe make some spacers out of milk jug plastic?

Did you actually measure the blade grip and then measure the blade root or are you guessing?

The TT blades are smooth and so are the Kasama grips. IMHO, you need to run the blade grips tight on the blades, but that's me.

As Terry stated you need to run them abit tighter as you should with a 50 and up machine anyways, if you are doing 3D.... I own the entire K head and have ran those same blades, they fit just fine, cheers.

There should be no play between holders and blades.

But avoid static tension on aluminium, aluminium may develop cracks under tension. I would try some spacers from noncompressible material. Maybe milk jug plastic is a good idea. This is one of the reasons I want plastic blade grips anyway,

I don't believe that for 3D you need to put the bolts tighter. On the contrary, it will only cause vibrations in your machine. Only when you are going to do a blade stop auto extra tightening is necessary, to avoid blade folding at spin up.
