HI, is there many people who have changed there 50 V2 to the new 8.7 gear ratio that is available with the Titan, if so what difference is it making?

Well all it will do is make your motor rev higher at the same headspeed. If your motor likes higher revs, its a good thing. Like the OS50 hyper likes 17000 rpm apparently. I use the 8.73 gears and a head speed of 1900.

Yup, running it and a headspeed of 1950 (perfect for the Hyper). AWESOME and even though it does not seem like that big a ratio change it makes a huge difference in flight IMHO. Not unboggable but it does certainly make a difference. I can do full 12+ deg pitch climbouts on the Hyper with no worries.

It didnt suit me, so depends what you want from your set-up.

Although it would be a good answer on 620's

The gears and tuning the throttle curves transformed my v2 non hyper os 50 from lame to incredible . There is no comparison IMHO

Thanks guys, I think I'll order up a set. I did a search and found other posts on the same topic and all had good reports.
