Hi

I am new to RCH's. I have bought a Tx Macgregor PCM9X2 and the Reflex XTR sim software. When activated the program asks to 'switch on the Tx' when it already is and I can't go further.

I am not sure if I have the driver for Windows XP - can someone out there send it to me?

I have tried the website but the instructions are no use.

Thanks!

Actually when it asks you to switch "on" the transmitter you either need to connect the interface cable to the TX or turn the TX "off" as simply plugging the cable in powers up the TX to transmit out the trainer/dsc port without broadcasting out rf deck.

You may want to check the mode (PPM or PCM). If it is in PCM mode Reflex may not detect the tx.

REFLEX XTR

Thanks for the reply - it is correctly configured for PPM

The system was connected up and I tried permutations with on/off switch - no luck !

Falcon - already tried that also.

The software has installed but is it safe to assume the correct driver is also installed? Is there someway I can check on Windows XP what the current driver is and how would I do that?

Don't switch the TX on the lead will do that when you plug it in.
Also make sure your in PPM not PCM and you also want to remove the module from the TX.

See if you get more response in the Simulator forum in RR and, have a look at the Reflex web site. There's a FAQ type section there and this issue has come up before.

I seem to remember that sometimes to fix this issue you have to reverse the wires in the jack plug that goes into the tranny. Hopefully you won't have to go that far, I did about 2 years ago, and find some other ideas.

Thanks ....

Problem corrected !

I checked the website again more thoroughly. In this case the error was corrected simply by unplugging the scanner (drawing too much power) and using a different USB. And that's it. All is working !

Thanks for pushing me in the right direction ...
