On 1/19 I sent my auto unit in to Miniature Aircraft cuz I thought the Sprag Bearing and Steel Sleeve needed to be replaced and I was reluctant to try to replace them myself. on 1/24 Jeff with Min Air called and stated the parts did not to be replaced and explained that all the unit needed was the Steel Sleeve needed to be polished, which he did at no charge. He did say the Clutch Bell "I Cooked" did need a new liner which he replaced.
This type of customer service should be recognized. Instead of replacing the parts like I asked and charging me. Jeff calls and states the parts don't need to be replaced and that he fixed what was wrong and there would be no charge. He could of replaced the parts like I asked and charged me and I wouldn't of known the difference.

I Appreciate the Honesty and Prompt Service I recieved!!

Thanks to Jeff and Miniature Aircraft

Thanks.....Dave

MinAIR all the way. I have never had any problems with them. I called them once because I needed a spacer to align the main gear. Within a couple of days I had a whole supply of spacers free of charge. They didn't even charge for shipping.

I sent my open tail gearbox to MA and they charged me like 50$ to up date from the black gears to the grey ones. They said they no longer did it even though their website said differently still. I guess they don't go by that.

You guys might have better luck, but I would avoid talking to them. They only make a good helicopter IMHO.

I've had a few issues with my Stratus kit purchased in Nov. The kit had the new YS fuel tank but the instructions and drawlings were hand writen on a piece of paper and stuffed in the parts baggy. I drilled the holes in the wrong location because of the bad drawlings and instructions. Also I got 24 cap screws that were the wrong length for the frame assembly, called MA got a new tank and the right cap screws. I Checked there website, they revised the manual to include the new fuel tank which was not there when I printed the manual out after I recieved the kit. The disc in the kit and the manual I printed were the same so I thought I was good to go. I didn't start building until after the holidays so I guess I should have checked the wedsite again and may have caught the new manual. Now just over the weekend I'm up to the rotor head assembly, come to find out I'm missing part # 0324, the washer spacers that go between the radial bearings and the thrust bearings in the blade grips. I think their helicopters are top notch but the kit instructions and qaulity control could improve some. It seems like they put the kits out before they have everything straighten out, and seem to be back tracking there mistakes at the consumers expense. Don't get me wrong I like MA, I've always owned one since they came out, just venting some frustration
