It's all about communication? is that the tease?

So multiplayer upgrade?, that would be cool, not that I have anyone to fly with

Can you tell if it will be a free upgrade?

"It's all about communication" just says that it's rather complicated to communicate the novelty as it is a very complex novelty. That answers the other question in the other thread as well: Nope! It won't be making things "easier" because the simulated object is not going to do us a favour and fly any "easier". But: YES! It will be easier in some other aspects. Pls, just wait for Feb 1st.

The programmers must be having a tough time ...

PROGRAM SPECIFICATION
=====================

Module Title: XTR Step 2
Requirements: Too complicated to describe
Timescale: Demo by 1st Feb 2007
Further Instructions: Good Luck

Why can't they just be straight and say

"We're not telling you now because we want to keep it secret until the big day".

Perfectly reasonable and much more digestable than "We can't tell you because it's too difficult to describe"

At least we don't have to wait long.

Cheers,

Nigel

You are guessing more than there is. It is pretty simple. This forum is text and pics based. If I want to communicate to tell a message here, I have to type it and prepare pictures, right? I'm doing this right now. I may find your understanding for the fact that I will do this for my product homepage first so that I have an understandable message on Feb 1st when I publicly announce the product in Nuremberg. There is no "big bang", it's all about expectations, availability, quality inspection, packing, manuals and understanding what it is. That simple. My catalogue is eating up 6 pages to give all the information. What do expect I can type here untill you have an idea about it? I guess there will be 3-4 people out there to buy it and they want to get the product in a reasonable time frame.

Reflex Products, will the 1st be the date when the update will be made available to the public or just the date to demo it?
Secondly, will the update be made freely available to download from the reflex site...
It all sounds promising, looking forward to the 1st.

Made public, tell the community (users, trade, media) and ship right after the show*. Not to everybody immediately and "the next day" but stricktly following fifo.

*(if nothing serious happens, demand is moderate, nobody messes up, no dramatic change in the weather, QS is giving green light ...)

That sucks!! I was gonna pull the trigger on Pheonix this weekend, now I have to wait until Feb 1st and beyond.....

Having too many choices DOES NOT make it easier to choose for a guy like me who does too much research on a product and can't make up his mind......

jester4,

I have all three sims and use them to keep things fresh and fun. With that said you will not regret getting and using the Phoenix sim. It is smooth, fast, realistic and being updated and supported very well. Unless Reflex is shipping a gold bar and a Hooters girl with their sim, Phoenix is all a sim should be and more.

I have read many reviews on how good Pheonix is, that is why I decided on it, but now that Reflex is going to announce something, and based on how good their product has been throughout the years, I think waiting a little while longer is worth it. I can still hold myself over with my G2.....but man I want something new.

I've had Reflex for a while and have just bought Phoenix.

I only intend to keep one but I decided owning both would be the only way that I could really get a comparison.

I figure that I won't lose much on the sale, so it's a small price to pay for the sim that suits me best.

I should have sold a few weeks ago but I too am hanging on to Feb 1st to see what's on offer.

BTW I find the comparison very difficult. I'm only a beginner so can't judge complex aeronautics but even so I'm finding it very difficult to call. There are aspects that I like about Reflex and others that I like about Phoenix.

Feb 1st could be the deal breaker!

Cheers,

Nigel

Important Question: Is there going to be a FREE UPDATE?

Reflex XTR is a very good sim.
A Newer version? that'd be nice!

However, is this going to be a free update like XTR for those of us with old Reflex?
Afterall, free update was the exact reason why I bought reflex in the first place.
