I posted this in the F3C section but got very little response so I thought I'd post it here and see if anyone had comments.
There has been an idea put forth to hold a combined F3C and F3N (3D) America's Championships which would include North, South, and Central America, not unlike the European and Asian Championships. Here in the US, there is quite a bit of interest but we are not sure if any of our neighbors would also be interested. I have had contacts in Mexico that expressed interest but would like to hear from any other countries or territories in the Western Hemisphere. It would probably be held every odd year to not compete against the World Championships.
So whadduya think?

Locale

If held in the US, the most obvious locations would be either at AMA headquarters in Muncie IN or in the Orlando FL area. AMA has a GORGEOUS flying site but the Muncie area, while scenic, does not have many major attractions nearby. Orlando has a tougher time finding a suitable flying site but would be AWESOME as far as hotels and attractions.

Probably need a LOT more flying and parking room than your average flying feild offers, and Muncie is kind of centrally located, at least more so than Fl.

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

Uh, well................

IN is centrally located if you live in the US, but if you were coming from Central or South America,.............. I dunno.

I wonder if the boys up at the Triple Tree in SC would be interested in hosting such an event. They have a proven record of holding several large international events (Joe Nall, etc).
