Help...
I could use some advice from you guys. I have a full QUK head, including grips for a Shuttle 30 that I'm not flying. What would you say is a reasonable price for this. I don't expect to get back the investment but it is just sitting around and I could use some better servo's in another of my heli's. So why not? It taught me to fly so I'll probably put the stock head back on the trusty trainer and keep it around (just in case something happens to my Raptor :-\. Cough...

Any of you have experience with a sale like this?

Well you could put it on ebay and see what happens. Or try 50 or 60 percent of the retail if its in real good shape.

Thanks Baracuda,

Appreciate the help. I think 50-60 percent would work. It looks and fly's great. I'll open a post on rr classifieds. This would be my first transaction on RR.
I just read through a terrible string on the whole Chris LaFollette fiasco. I plan to use Paypal and offer a money back guarantee. Is there anything else I should watch out for? (I do know enough to ship same day that PayPal goes through).

I second E-Bay... Start bidding at 99 cents but set a reserve within $20 of what you want to get for it. Add a buy it now option for exactly what you want to get and brag free shipping if "buy it now" is used. Make the listing for about 6 days. You should get good results because shuttle parts frequently sell on ebay...I buy alot there.

Just make sure you get paid BEFORE you ship and check the person on the good guy list, if you dont have a warm fuzzy dont deal with someone, its your stuff you dont HAVE to sell it to someone just because they make an offer despite some of the bullying PM's you may get from people.

Also since its your first sale if you have an ebay history post that user name in the ad.

I can't speak about the Sceadu compatability. So I'll ask one of you guys to tell me.
Here's what QUK lists it as (and I bought it as a combo)

SPECIAL OFFER - SHUTTLE HEAD COMBO

This "combo package" contains centre hub, headblock, blade grips, in-line flybar arm, flybar carrier, head button and Bell - Hiller mixer arms at a price that represents more than 20 % saving over the cost of purchasing the individual components.
Parts included: SH-02, SH-03, SH-04, SH-05, SH-06, SH-07, SH-08

Price: £110.60 / $215.67 (Excluding: VAT at 17.5%)

Cobra, I'll reply to your PM when I get home from the office.

Thanks for the advice on listing my QUK stuff. I'll post on ebay and here on rr classifieds probably. I will put the pic's on when I get home tonight. I think the wife would prefer that I off-load some of the stuff I'm not using in order to finance my need for servo's and the like.

Well, I should probably move this over to the classifieds about now anyway since it looks like my string is going that way...

If you let her run your stuff off you will loose the one shred of control you had, your hobby purchases, you are starting down a slippery slope my friend, might as well just sell it all and turn your work shop into a sewing room with foo foo on the walls and fuzzy carpet.

LOL,
Well the truth is that we've been married for 20 years now, and she the best. She puts up with my flying every weekend and all the time in the shop. Everybody kids a little about the better half and I'm no exception but I've got it pretty good.(No she's not standing right here.) And BTW she has a sewing room upstairs. Plus she put up with my huge x-mas purchase, a raptor titan and all that goes with it.
Here's the photo of that Shuttle Head:
