I am building a Blade CP with the Brushless 370, GWS DD Tail Motor,
Sym Wood Blades, CC 25 or CC 18 amp ESC, Bell Mixer Upgrade kit, JR DS285 Servos and TP 910 3 Cell pack. Specktrum DX7 Tx with the AR 6000 Rx. I ran another post "Best Battery Pack" and received some good advice. The 401 is more than twice the weight of the G90. Will the weight difference be a issue. I am building this Bird to raise hell and have fun with. So which one will be the best, the G90 or the 401?

Thanks
Sixter

I have used several gyros on my gas helicopters. The 401 is the best HH gyro that I have ever used. I have not tried the G90, but you can't go wrong with the 401. Just my 2 cents.

Hello

The GY240 works pretty well on my Blade Pro. I like it since there are fewer wires and less settings to play with. The piros arent blazing fast but you cant really do anything with piros that fast anyways on this heli. The piros are pretty darn constant in both directions though which I defintally like, and they are fast enough for me.

I ,like you, put this little guy together to have a lot of fun with and so far Im very pleased. I did a good bit of mods to it but mostly with stuff I already had, not to mention I traded a couple servos for this CP Pro so as far as Im concerned I really dont have any money in it which makes flying it a lot easier

BTW...I hope you had a chance to try the 3s Prolite 730mah packs. They power my blade for 8 mins and the power is defintally good for lots of aerobatics.

I'm using the G90 and have had excellent results. It holds the tail very well at 100% gain. There is often a trim drift during the flight, particularly if it sees a temperature change, like going from a warm car to a cold field. But it is predictable. I am running my Blades with a similar set-up as you outline, and my personal feeling is that you want to keep the weight down. So I wouldn't put a 401 on it. The G90 will work fine. BTW, ypu may want to try a Park 400 4200 kv. That really lights a Blade up!
