Here are some frames I've designed for the T-Rex 600. Some features include:

-Top motor mount.

-Mini Servos with direct to swash linkages to save weight. (Futaba 9650 or Hitec 5245)

-No more lower bearing on main shaft, however multiple bulkheads are added to considerably stiffen the frame.

-Reduced overall height of the frames to keep weight closer to the blades.

-6S packs still fit up front, 10S in 5S X 2 Config has two locations to strap down the packs.

-Cut from 2mm G-10.

-Stainless Steel/Aluminium Hardware included.

-Extra Bulkheads act as equipment hangers, now all your electronics can fit inside the heli.

-Price will be $90 for the full conversion. Replacement side frames will be $40 per side.

There will be some flight test on the frames to punish them, once they are proven, these will be up for sale at http://www.members.shaw.ca/rdheli/. I forsee no issues as these frames are SOLID.

Now for the good stuff =).

Too each their own, i dont like it. looks similar to the logo frame which i never liked, and being forced to use smaller servos i dont like.

With a heli this size its not all about saving wieght, it still needs to be rigid to hold up. i will be interested in seeing how it holds up in the long run.

Your not seeing the same problems the Logo guys are due to the fact the lower bearing block has been removed ?

How many flights do you have on this config ?
