Don't think you'll get many takers in the U.S. Last I saw the price was around $500 which is way too high for a 50 class engine.

I have one. I'm waiting on parts to install it in my EVO 50. The engine looks sweet!! (see my gallery for pics) It comes with an engine mount for a Raptor, BUT, IT WILL NOT bolt right into a Sceadu/EVO. You have to modify the engine mount and slot the mounting holes on the engine. I can give you more details after this weekend.

As far as the price goes, anyone will tell you the retail price on something, but what you actually pay for it is a different story. Yes, the engine retails for $500, but if you order it, what you actually pay is a lot less.

No shims with the engine, but there are optional shims available. I'm going to run 30% cool power with it.

its going to have it on 30%

Hi Tmblewd i can’t wait till you have tried this motor out on 30% it should make our favored hyper 50 tremble when you propel your sceadu/evo into space with this beast under its bonnet that extra hp and rpm on 30% should make it perform well what does this engine weigh and let us know what plug you find the best thanks for main hobbies contact .hayabusa

Why would you run 30% if they designed it for 10%?

Shims are available from most manufactures so why not, adding more nitro methane provides more power and smoother idle so tuning is easier you have to be careful tuning so you don’t over heat the engine most of us like the extra grunt/grin factor .

hayabusa - I'm going to use a JK Hatori Pipe with the engine. It would be nice if there was a matched tuned pipe like their is with their RC Car engines available. There might be one in the future, but as of right now, I haven't seen one.

Laurens - Do you always do what you are supposed to do?

Well actually not, but I guess why change something if they are building the engine specially for 10% anyway? I think fuelflow through the engine is better with 10%.

I'll wait for your tests before I'm sure ;-)

You know, I have no clue on fuel flow or performance. I just know that I have a case of CP 30%, I might just as well use it. I use 30% in my OS's, I use 30% in my RC cars (which have NovaRossi's in them), but in my planes I use 5%. So, time will tell.

I use the idle needle and main needle to adjust my fuel flow the carburetor works like this the faster air moves the lower its pressure the speed of this flow and therefore its pressure determines the amount drawn in to the airstream

OK, for those that want to use this engine in a Hirobo Sceadu/EVO, it's not a bad installation.

The engine mount has to be filed to fit the engine and you will need a OS 50 Thrust Washer to install the flywheel. The aft/rear engine mount holes on the NovaRossi will need to be elongated to fit the Sceadu engine mount. Other than that, it bolts together real nice.

When you are ready to install it in the helicopter, that's where the fun begins. The frames have to be filed for clearance to install the pipe. ( in my case I'm using a JK Hatori pipe)

The throttle linkage was a bear to get figured out. I'm still not sure if I have it right. The NovaRossi has a metal throttle arm like is on a OS 32. I had to play with different ball positions and lengths on the push rod.

The GV-1 sensor mount has to be filed to fit for clearances and you have to redrill the aft mount hole.

Will have pics uplaoded today, and hopefully get a tank or 2 run through the engine today.

I got it started the other night. It fired right up. I've ran about a tank through it just barely idled up. I have opened it up some but not a lot. I plan to get it out flying tomorrow morning. It seems to like the JK hatori pipe. It sounds like a dirt bike echoing in the pipe.
