Hi guys, I currently have a original T-rex 450x (in addition to my nitro fleet) that I am thinking of maybe moth-balling for the sake of a better 400 class electric heli for smooth style aerobatics.
The dragonous pro got an excellent review in MHW but the only shop in the UK that stocks spares is Skyline models whilst T-rex spares can be found all over the country.

So which one to buy and why?

Hi,

Am in a similar position.

Dragonus II by RCer is distributed in Europe by A2Pro, though I hear skyline are an authorised reseller. After the Nuremberg Toy Fair early Feb things are supposed to improve with Dragonus support and really launch off.

Skyline are only listine one model, the Pro which I am guessing is the same as the 450 PRO CNC/3K-CF Kit. I have emailed them to clarify but not heard back.

Hopefully they will stock the Elite and the Intruder which will be known as the Dragonus Plus in Europe due so some legal issues with Align.

Or check our Rc-tek in the US for now if Skyline can't help out, though parts are an issue at the moment.

Nick

The parts support is a big issue, to me anyways, if you crash or something just wears out or breaks, do you want to wait weeks to fly again???? I fly what I can get parts for locally... In my case it's trex....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Thanks for your input guys, I just don't feel comfortable spending £350 on a T-rex SE with my experience of Align's poor quality control but on the other hand parts are readily available since they are dominating the 400 class market. I could buy the Dragonous and not be able to fly it due to a lack of spares!

Hey guys.

For what it's worth, I got a Dragonus II SA shipped to Germany from Flying Models. I can't even find T-Rex or Raptor parts in this country so dealing with a stocked LHS was out of the question.

My order arrived quickly, completely, and in perfect shape. It's not as good as walking down to the LHS but for many of us that's not an option.

Note: I did have to pay import duty on the order. With the current exchange rate, however, it was still dramatically cheaper to ship from Hong Kong and pay duty than it would be to buy it in Europe.

That is NOT a real Dragonus II frame and it is NOT a V2 upgrade. There is no V2 frame. Beware of this cheap junk and look at how they spelled the name.

Regards,
Scott
