Hi everyone.

Please can you help me as i know nothing at all about gasser engines ?

Is it possible to fit a gasser engine into a 90 size JR heli without modification to the airframe ??

Like a lot of people, I'm getting a little bit fed up with the rip off cost of Nitro fuel, and am looking for something more economical.
I don't fly 3D so don't need huge power.

Grateful for any advice you might offer.

Thanks

The only gas motor that would fit with out modification of the frame would be the Nitro motors modified to run on gas like the BME G90, Gasser conversion thay have 60 size HP, but I here they are having problems with them, your best bet would be to sale your JR and buy a real gasser helli with a gas motor like the Zenoha, 23CC or 26CC in the 90 size and 20CC in the 50 size, I have a PREDATOR GASSER with a 26cc and can run over 3 hours on a gallon of gas, now that is cheap!

There is a thread on here somewhere that shows where a guy put a G23 or G26 on a Raptor 90. Major modifications.

Gas is Great
Camper Fuel is Better!!

Take the good advise given and buy a gasser, I’ve been down the road you are thinking about and believe me with what it has cost so far I could have bought a brand new Predator all kitted out. After two engines and three different airframes I still didn’t have any luck with the converted nitro engines.

Hi Bluegarry, I use the Zenoh 260 and the cooling fan is the original
Airskipper but the hub of the cooling fan has to be the Voyager GS.
Also the clutch shoe, clutch bell and pinion (13 teeth) are from VoyagerGS. The lower frame has to be wider, 5mm each side.
The fuel charge per flight(20min.) is about $0.55!
