and your point is?

you would need to be mental to own an MA machine here in uk.

also if oyu think tax price differences are small then you should maybe look at things again. tax makes a massive difference.

cheers

i have to step in here, high end? high end meaning quality?

i have 2 synergys but you can't say quality and synergy in the same breath i'm sorry to say.

i have said this before and i will again, if this didn't fly so well they would be in trouble.

cheers

Arky started this tread because he didn't like the spare prices. Nether does I. That is my point..... I will never own a MA because I found the spare prices to be to high..... When I bought the Synergy I was promised "Raptor 90 like spares prices" Just to find that the Synergy prices are closer to MA prices.

What Tax does you have in UK, I just checked Realraptors prices, and they are ~20% cheaper than DK prices...... To make that right you would have Zero tax But that doesn't help me i am not allowed to buy Synergy spares in UK.........

it's all relative, if you don't like the prices then get shot of it, it's not raptor prices. they told us it was raptor prices to lure us in. it's certainly not MA prices here but some of the prices begger belief

cheers

probably because he bought one and then quickly realised how bad the quality is like others

high end in the way it flys maybe, high end in the parts quality NO WAY very poor tbo in some areas, i could give u a list of problems that come down to poor quality but i wont as I have had good customer service, so that would be unfair.

But the prices are wrong and they need to sort it.

Well I've ordered the parts to fix it up like new and then sell it as is.

I disagree, it could be a high end helicopter.
The reason it has done so well is because so many of us stuck through the piss poor manufacture and persevered until such outside companies like HYPERFORMANCE stepped in and did what SRC should have, you wouldn't have the chrome balls if I and many others hadn't complained so much about the issue, and SRC don't even manufacture those parts either, Vario sorted that one.
So how many other aftermarket suppliers are going to wipe SRC's arse to get this to the high end heli you believe it is.

It only saving grace is that its flight performance far outweighs its manufacturing quality and all i can say is its a good job for JK and TB that it does, the design works, the manufacture is mediocre.

Mine is sold/gone now and i feel its a good time to bow out of this part of the forum. I'll keep my eye in here and watch how the embryo develops and when it becomes the high end heli we expected i may have another mad spending moment.

For the time being cheers guys and good luck ( don't comment if you don't want a reply!! )

I have done a comparison of similar parts between the minair fury and the synergy.

Same price my blue backside.

It probably would be black and blue after buying the minair parts. No lubricant either.

Fury

boom £42.95
pushrod £12.75
torque tube 33" £29.99
boom support set £22.95

Total: £108.64

Synergy

tail rod 2.99
boom support ends £4.99
boom supports 5.99
Tail boom £13.99
torque tube assembly £24.99

Total =£52.86

You would have to be insane tyo fly minair, especially in the UK.

oh and this

Yes cos you dont pay much but you get total junk. Even now defective parts are still circulating. Synergy themselves have put on their website that the quality issues have been resolved. NO WAY they have.

High end, NO. If you want to delude yourself that the good money you have laid out is worthwhile then go ahead. Some of us arent so forgiving as it is our money. Back to the term "fitness for purpose"

By the way......

Just exactly what is the definition of a "High End Heli"....

Quality ? Initial Cost ? Cost of Repair Parts ?

Average income of the buyer?....or.....?

Just a handy ill defined topic area for Jousting?

....

Just really got to fly mine today (Synergy) and I was blown away at how well it flies. I kept reading about how it shows your flaws, but if anything it hid mine, or I've become a much better pilot since I last flew my Raptor. Huge loops are beautiful and easy. Rolls and Flips just lock in on center. I agree that the quality control is an issue, but I knew this before I bought it. Todd has provided better customer service than you could possibly get from another manufacturer. It's strange how some parts are so nutsonperfect and others are so far off. I've got no complaints with the G10, or the aluminum tail boom. I love the layout. To be honest the first time I saw one I thought it was ugly, but after Todd and Jason pulled the canopy at ORRO this fall I thought it was the simplest design available, and nothing but glowing reviews about how it flies here. If they can't get the QC issues sorted out in China it would be cool if they hooked up with Starks and had Hyperformance manufacture the entire kit. It'd be worth another $100 to have it produced consistantly.

It sure flies like a high end heli im my book. you guys make my point for me. I said it before and ill say it again i have never had any problems and all of the kits i have seen go together havent either. no chrome ball on any of them and they all have no slop from the stock balls. no one i know had to put on a aftermarket Collet to get their fan hub aligned properly. none of this stuff you guys mention have i seen on any of the helis at our field. Obviously im not saying you guys havent had problems, but i havent seen any of these problems on the 8 synergy's at our field.

J5coat,
You're also from Phoenix where Jason Krause comes from,he's probably in your local club.Perhaps the best kits are hand picked for your club

Sure PASS THE PIPE the best kits are hand picked by Ricks, Tammie's, Hobby Hanger and I don't know where.

But JK will bend over backwards to help along with Todd from my experience.

so your kits great with no issues lovely,
just coz yours is, it doesn't mean everyone else is and mine was far from great I've had loads of QC issues so although it flys great now my N9 didn't even fly out of the box.
its not a high end heli its very poor the QC lets it down, i could have bought a VIBE for the same money, i wouldn't as i know the parts prices, but its in another league, the N9 doesn't even sit along side the raptor for QC the only thing its got atm is it flys well.

Well the fact also that you have 8 synergys that are fine at yuour field means

a) you arent looking hard enough
b) are comparing it to a raptor which isnt exactly hig on the QC stakes
c) that the synergies there probabl have wobbly fan hubs.
d) Or alternatively you have the parts which were later in the production which are fixed, whereas the rest of us are still workig through the backload of crap parts.

I saw a brand new kit this weekend which was appalling. fan hub: 20 thou out MINIMUM. the inner collet area was WELL out on one side and not the other, as though the 2 stage machining was off. I have a video of it wobbling about all over the place. These are issues that have plagued this heli from day 1. It still isnt fixed.
