Hey guys well while hovering with my new built t-rex 450 I accidently removed some of the siding on my house and it was a disaster as you can imagine. Anyhow only thing that I had to replace on the machine is the head components they wore plastic now it's all upgrade it to metal.

And of course I have replaced the shaft and now I have some wood roto blades because the other carbon is still stuck to the house, so it is all rebuild and I just flown it this is what's happaning: While in a hover the tail moves and continuesly to the left at a slow pace is that normal ? And the heli is some what twitchy I have 30% expo on all besides pitch.

Since I'm a new heli pilot the question is to hold a heli in a stady hover do I need to have costent corrections on all the surface's ?

I have Gyro G500T and S9650 Servo, rest of the servos are HS65,
All the parts on the heli move freely no binding anywhere.

Set your tail up to hover in rate mode with no trims or input on the tx. then you can switch to HH and it should be good to go ...

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Not sure it's a G500T By JR here is a link to it if you don't mind looking at it? It says that it is Tail lock ring gyro.

To an extent, yes. If you let go of the stick, the heli should stay for a few seconds while slowly drifting off. (or you are flying to close to the ground)

But if you let go of the stick and the heli goes for the ground, you likely have a trim or swash leveling problem.

They do require constant input to hover. But you should be able to sit in one spot for atleast a few seconds before finger input is required to keep holding it in the hover when properly trimmed.

The directions are quite confusing at first, But what you need to with the gyro is 1)After linkcage is set up properly and limit is adjusted so there is no binding. Turn the TX power on, gyro switch needs to be in the HH position 2)Turn the RX power on, let gyro initialize(light will be lit) 3)switch gyro switch to rate mode
4)spool up and hover and adjust tail trim until tail is holding 5)Land model and adjust all the trim out of the tail linkcage. 6) hover and double check that tail is still holding. But if you turned power off during linkcage adjustment make sure to re-initialize the system again.
7)If tail is holding, land and flip the gyro switch 3 times from rate to HH and back to rate, ending at HH position.
8)make sure your not binding on the linkcage
9)Adjust the gain as needed
10) Your now in HH mode
