Now the thing won't even turn on!! What did I fry? Shouldn't the radio have reverse polarity protection?

If you look at the outside of the two Tx chargers, they will tell oy uif they are reverse. The symbol on the chargers should look like the letter "C" or "O" with a dot in the middle. The dot represents the inside of the connector and the "C" or "O" represents the outside. There should be a line drawn to each one that will indicate (+) or(-). If they are different then you fried the Tx. Most of the time the "protection" is a diode that will fry before the other electronics are affected. Sometimes there is even a small fuse or fusible link on the circuit board. Open the TX and look close to where the charger plugs in. Look for a fuse or a diode. If it is the diode, I would send it back to avoid any warranty issues, but if you are savvy enough with a soldering iron, then try and relace it. Make sure the stripe faces the same direction as the old on or your tx wont charge! I hope this helps.....Ron

Yea, I knew that Futaba and JR reverse the charge plug polarity I just grabbed the wrong one. Hu Hu Hu As it turns out I then removed the pack and thinking I could get it to come back to life fried it directly again!!!! Sometimes I think the older I get the more stupid I get (or is it stupider). So it is $50 mistake, I just got back from the LHS with a new JR 2500mah Ni-Mh pack.
