On my 450SE, if I give full positive collective and full forward elevator - the elevator ball link hits the bottom of the anti-rotation base and binds. Are others experiencing this??

BTW: +10/-10 on pitch and +14/-14 on cyclic

Yea, I noticed that too when I was setting mine up. I just dremmeled out that bottom brace a little so it wouldn't bind.

After asking others that I fly with to check theirs we found out that they all bind also...guess most people don't get to full positive and full forward too often! LOL

There was a nearly identical post a day or two ago, do a search before posting and you'll quite often find the answer you're looking for without having to wait for replys.

Ya - I just wanted to make sure I didn't have the links setup wrong or something. As long as everyone else has the same problem then I'm cool with grinding away.

I'm really suprised Align has overlooked this small design flaw and hasn't corrected it yet..

Under recomended pitch settings, it is not a problem. I think I remember the manual recomends +-9*..

That's just part of their liability protection. The Trex 600 suggest +/-9 degrees too. So 9 plus 6 or 7 cyclic give 15 or 16 degrees which is about where the blade stalls. Setting up like they recommend will prevent this, and your binding problem. But that's no fun...so we crank up to around 12+7 or more. That's what collective management is all about...the blade still stalls at 15 or 16.
