If you can stand a couple hundred extra bucks consider the Miniature Aircraft Razor 600. i spent several hours at the hobby shop comparing the Raptor 620,Trex 600, and the Razor and i beleive it to be better in quality and desighn. i did end up buying the razor and im glad i did

Right now part support is an issue with the E620... The 600 has all the parts on the market for it already, even some upgrades are out..

Tom..... No "D" flying....

What setup would be the best for the Razor?

I have no doubt about the quality of the Razor - looks very nice! Pricewise, it is only a couple hundred bucks more than a 620 setup, but when compared to a Trex 600 setup, you are looking at more like 400 bucks difference - thats where the 600 is very tempting. You do get what you pay for and I do hope to try out a Razor someday

The trouble with a 10S heli is the cost of the battery.

And - yes you will crash at a time. Most likely (as me) the battery will be damaged and you will have to spend $300 on a new one....

i cant say much on the raptor 620 but i have had few raptor 50's and i got a trex 600 and i love it i have never looked back. the 600 just feels smoother to me and with the stock 600 and the tp5000 its like a rocket ship anyways.

As much as I love the MinAir stuff, I can't argue that the price of the Raptor and T-Rex are really tempting!! I'd love to be able to put that extra money saved towards some lipos for sure rather than the extra cost of the Razor kit

and when you crash the parts for a trex 600 are dirt cheap.

OK, so what's the HOT setup for the T-Rex 600? Motor, pinion, batteries?

i am running stock 10 tooth pinon but getting ready to upgrade to the 11 tooth helical pinon and gear but as it is a monster stock with the tp5000 i love it mine will out climb any 50 and will keep up with a 90

The run time per flight on all 3 helis listed in this thread (Razor, Erappy, Trex) is about the same. Between 5 and 8 minutes depending on headspeed and flying style. For 3D dont expect more than 6 minutes.
