Hi All,

Got most of the gear I need for my new AP ship, Just waiting on the MJ2 from EastCoast. So while I am waiting I am getting my mount accessorized and was wondering what the SLR folks are using to connect their SLR to the downlink. I am thinking about these guys http://www.skyeye.com/V-V-T.html but thought I would check with the professional first to see if you have a different (and maybe cheaper)way of doing it.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

David

Hey Dave that is the one I am using less hassel just slide it on and go. I tried making my own from BW but mounting it was a challenge. I know the one you are looking at is more money but I have had good luck with it. Since it is cased it is more hardy in all weather and conditions. Good luck and enjoy!!

I've seen this product mentioned several times but have yet to see a price and where/how to order it on their website. Do they do all of their business via email?

Thanks!

Are you guys using the B+W or color model. I noticed the description says the B+W has more gain in low light situations.

Tony I did email them and then they called me back on the phone. They were very helpful. I still have the panasonic that I bought from Black Widow and use it on my Hirobo Lepton for fun. I had one made for my Nikon D-40 they said they had never done one of those but welcomed the challenge...LOL It turned out great!!!

I use the kx-161 from Black widow, mounted to a canon eyepiece extender.

The camera was like $79 from BW, and the eyepiece extender was about $12.

I am wondering how you all power these units? Since it is 12v do you run a 11.1 Lipo to the Preview tap and use a BEC for the Rx or do you use two batteries? One for the Video tap and one for the Rx.

Thanks!
