HI

I have problems with my revmax on MP-V91. I cant get to work in the governor menu, modes are normal, Idel1, and Idel2 speed are in %
The calibration is OK (using channel 10 for the AUX)
Hove Do you program it through the governor menu to limit the speed ?
or will i have to use the trottel curve settings in idel 1-2

From what you've said, I think you now need to change ch. 10 to governor in the function menu. The Aux is only used for calibration if I remember correctly.

Put it on ch 7 then you use % in the gov screen.

You don't want to use ch.7. You can use ch. 4,5,6,10,11, or 12. This is per 14mz set-up on Model Avionics website. The 12z set-up is the same. After you assign the one of these channels as the governor in the function menu you can use the % in the governor screen to adjust your headspeed. In mine, I made the pitch ch. 7 and the governor ch. 6.

Well that might be how the 14 is but the 12 should be in ch 7. I have my revmaxx setup and working in my 12 in ch 7 and thats what the fuction screen says to use.

Well, the 12 and 14 are the same in this aspect. Channels 1(throttle) and channel 7 recieve their signals at the same time. You don't want the RevMax recieving it's signal at the same time as the throttle. That's why they say to use one of the channels I mentioned above. If you do a search you will find threads from people who can explain it better than I can.

ssc- Go to channel 10 in the function menu and change it to governor. I bet you'll be able to adjust your headspeed in the governor screen after doing so.

Well i kinda understand what your saying but i can adjust my headspeed in the gov screen i have done it alot lately. I'm not sure what you mean by they recieve signal at the same time, i thought thats how it should be. I need to find a link that better tell what and why.

Try this link.
http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/...ighlight=revmax

This is one of the threads I was talking about. Also, go to the link posted above and click on "radio tips", then click on "14MZ". The 12 and 14 are the some.

Hi all and thanks for the information

Well I got the point, MEDFLIGHT by the way whatever I use the ch.10,11, or 12 the assignment will be in function menu
Like U say (governor in % or rpm) I use the channel 10

For the last ,are U using throttle curve like idel1 at 80 % for the hole throttle line, or is it better to use 80 75 60 75 80 when using Revmax ?

I think you are at the point you need to change ch.10,11, or 12 (whichever you are going to use) to "governor" in the function menue.

In the governor screen I think the values are in %. Raise the percentage until the tach reads the headspeed in rpm's that you want.

All my throttle curves are 100% across the board. This lets you raise the percentage in the governor screen without bumping into the throttle curve. If your throttle curve is too low, you can only raise the % until it hits the throttle curve. That's why I set my curves at 100 all the way across. This way I have full adjustment of my headspeed from the governor screen.

Do you have to recalibrate if you change from ch7 to ch10? I'm thinking of changing mine over.

I run all of my TJ's and Revmax on Ch7 right where they have belonged since well before the 12Z and 14MZ.. Here is how I do my setup

I go into the functions menu change ch7 to aux1 then switch c
Calibrate revmax or TJ by turning on tx then rx then using switch c to enter calibration.
change ch7 back to gov mode
when you go into the governor menu setup normal, id1,id2,and hold by putting the Switch e into that position. I have governor/revmax settings in all flight modes for all of my models

No you don't have to recalibrate it to switch the channels. The only time I recalibrate is if I have to mechanically move the throttle linkage or it gets moved in a crash.

wa11banger-I figure there is a reason Model Avionics says to do it a specific way. The link I posted above is the best explination I've seen as to why.

HI - My Revmax setup works fine, and great to fly with, but I don’t now if this is a problem, I use the Futaba micro servo 3101 (analog) for the throttle
And when I go for the normal green light calibration (20ms) the servo seen to drop down in speed, if I put the servo direct
To the trottel channel 3 the servo is much faster, cant it be becourse the servo isn’t digital?

Is there a better Servo choice for the Revmax ( like a super servo for working the 4 ms)?

I used one of mine with an analog servo and the servo seemed to be a little notchy. When I switched to a digital servo it worked alot better. You may want to try a different servo.

Medflight I have change the servo to the Hitech HS 5245 MG.
No glitch or buzz - perfekt vs Futaba 3101 mini analog
I cant see any different, in speed whatever I use Super servo or normal mode on the Revmax, but the Hitech works much faster like U told me(it worked alot better)
