I was wondering if anyone has weighed their Raptor90se. People tell me they are heavier than the Vibe and Stratus.

Guess that really depends on your definition of a few.

The raptor SE we weighed already had those removed, but it did have a heavy battery pack. And it didnt have any upgrades of any kind.Your looking at about an 8 to 10 oz difference.DOUG

My Raptor without the carbon base plate, metal frame stiffners and the large bearings in the head block for the center pin weighed in right at the 11lb mark. (It did have a header tank on it as well as 90mm V paddles) When I have my Vibe completed, it will have all the same electronic gear and motor muffler combo that the Raptor did so I'll throw it on the same scale to compare. I'm curious to know if it's really any lighter as it certainly doesn't seem all that light in my hand. Most Vibe owners have reported weights in the 10 and 1/2 pound range though.

Personally, I'm not sure all up weight is all that important anyway as there are PLENTY of pilots out there flying awesome even though their machines are supposedly on the heavy side. Perfect example is Matt Botos. He flew great with his super light Status and he still flys great with his Synergy which I'm guessing weighs a fair bit more.

Yes his synergy weIghs 10lb 12oz when i talked to him at IRCHA SE. There are quite a bit fewer parts on the VIBE than the raptor se. hIS Stratus weighed less than 10lb but had some titanium parts on it.
the heavy parts in the Raptor SE are the head and blade grips. The Stratus and Vibe use plastic grips and the head blocks are much smaller and lighter. You dont need a header tank with the Vibe because it holds 23oz of fuel, the Stratus holds 20oz so you need a header tank. The lighter weight helps mostly when the heli has to change directions like from pos to neg pitch in rainbows.DOUG

A little older thread I realize, but I finally had the opportunity to weigh my Vibe on the same scale I weighed my previous R90SE.

R90SE all up minus fuel - 10lb's 14 ounces
Vibe all up minus fuel - 10lb's 6 ounces

About a half pound difference using the same motor/pipe and electronics.
