Does anyone know the actual numerical thread pitch specs for JR vs Futaba/Hitec/Airtronics transmitter sticks?

I've got a G3 controller and a Stylus... lemme hava look...

They interchange! And the G3 controller should be the same as all Futabas. Guy, can you try swapping your 9C and your old G3 sticks?

As long as the diameter of the JR's threads is the same or less than M3 then they'd be retappable.

Just been thinking about this..I have the thumbs slipping problem too..
Are we not moving the wrong way as the 'weight' of your thumb will be spread over a larger area in effect making it more likely to move around.

Would something more pointy not be better as it would sink into your thumb a little more?

It would surely be mostly a matter of preference. I'm definitely gonna try a set of those JR 'Flower Sticks'. Whether they make it to permanent status or not will depend on how they feel while flying, but I'm guessing I'll like 'em.

Barney you have a valid point about spreading the load. I remember a time when I tried it without sticks, just the threaded rod ends - very good but uncomfortable. I've taken to keeping the pointy bits sharpened so there is zero slippage, the main problem is when continuous stirring and the thumbs gradually 'wind' off the sticks, but with practice, I'm getting the hang of sliding the thumbs back into position while continuing stirring. This is all with the minimum possible stick tension so thumbs are nice and relaxed. I'm gonna order some of the Flower Sticks tomorrow and see what they're like, I'll make em fit somehow
Perhaps they should be called "Hippytops"

I find these a little easier on my thumbs than the JR ones and the bonus is that they are universal fitment, once you realise they are a waste of time you can also throw them away as they are bio degradeable!!

Yug if you like light sticks the Gnatty little DX7's are very soft..

I would really like to ween myself onto light sticks to get away from the bumps as you stir the sticks. With a fully tensioned unit the sticks definetely tend to get pulled into a diagonial box shape when stirring.

Well..Sunday

I started out with good intensions but soon discovered I couldn't feel the X over points in the gimbal cause it was just to damn cold up here..I went to stick the Tx in my Mit but found the aerial was to fat to fit through the grommit

After about 6 mins my thumbs were so cold I was flying from the joint at the base of the thumbs.. the rest was totally numb by then.

In the end I ended up screwing the tensioners back in..

Your from the same era as me.. "Hippytops".. How about Flair tops..or would that be copyrite infringment..LOL..
