I can't answer that one for sure I'm afraid..

There was talk on this side of the pond of making the Default setting in any brand TX with PCM to put the throttle to idle rather than hold..

Maybe the severity of the discharge was enough to wipe the Rx failsafe setting each time?..but I'm only guessing

I'm glad you found the issue. We haven't run into that one because we run Raptor belts tight or at least not loose.
