If you don't mind me asking, why did you decide to build a clutch bell housing first?

Well.... I haven't actually made any yet. The reason I started with the clutch bell was because I just happen to have one sitting on my desk at work and had some time to kill.

The two things that I want to make first are the blade holders, and mixing arms. The clutch bells are actually going to most likely be the most expensive part for me to make, because that cog material is expensive, then I have to machine it.

Ok after thinking about rotating mass, I thought maybe I should try to lighten these things up. How do they look now?

Ok here is the model of the Cal5 blade grips.

So would anyone be interested in a set of these?

Clint,
Most of the parts on the Caliber5 is from the Cal 30. I have a couple Cal 5 parts on my Cal 30. The blade grips of the Cal 5 fit on the Cal 30, they just reinforced it with aluminum. So why can't you make one style, label it for both the Cal5/Cal30 blade grips. I believe the solid version of your design is best, for durability. The other ones look cool though, but in the event of an error, it won't be on the expensive replacement list.

Maybe if you make enough of it, you can sell some to Chris @ Rcheliworks.com . He has tons of customer wanting good quality Cal5/Cal30 cnc machined parts.

I am trying to figure out what I would need to chrage to make it worth it.

I am looking at a figure of about $65 - $70 with bearings, ball links, bolt, and nuts.

This maybe a stupid question, but I just want to clearify that Cal30 grips could be used on Cal5. Is this True?

The Cal5 grips fit on the Cal30. So why wouldn't it work. I wonder why Quick UK didn't realize their grips fit on the Cal5? How about making a prototype and fitting on?

Well your right, models are one thing. Unfortunalty I have been to busy to make these parts since I modeled them.
So where are your parts for sale, what do you have, and how much?
Are the little blade grips in the righthand pic tail blade grips?
