Project Update

I finished my bezel today. Here are some pics of the progress. The cellpro will be mounted using velcro, so it will stay in place when it's not being used. I added some eggshell foam padding to the top of the box just because I had some lying around. I'm not sure how I want to do the right side of the box yet. I'm open to suggestions there. I thought it would be nice to be able to store a few common tools such as precision screwdrivers and allen wrenches. But I don't want to just throw tools in there all willy nilly. As you can see, the power supply section is not enclosed, so I need to keep stuff from falling over there somehow.

Dood, no way!

Just asking

Just asking how would it be to cut the white plastic to the same size of the cell pro so you can mount it from the bottom and then put a piece of Plexiglas on top of it to protect it. Then your power cables can stay under it and you adapter can come up from around the end and you can still plug in you batteries? Drill a hole to the button (the only button) from the side and put a wooden dowel that way you could still push the button and change the settings. I know I go a bit over board. Well anyway how about taking the clips off and putting banana male ends on? The Ice charger comes that way and that is what gave me that idea. as for the other side, I personally don’t suggest adding any conductive items on the right had side with out a very good partition from bottom to top. it would be very bad to have something fall in the cracks of the power supply. And it would be very very bad if something shorted out a LiPo pack. May I ask how many LiPo packs you have? The reason why I ask you may be able to build a foam insert to hold those batteries. Or if you have a discharger? I am liking the tool thing more and more as I keep thinking. Just what ever you do please make sure that none of the items can get in to the power supply nor short out a LiPo..

The banana plugs are definately in the works. As far as mounting the cellpro... I want to make it easy to remove, so it can still be used with a car battery. I currently only have one lipo, but I would like the ability to carry up to three in this box. I might use a block of foam like in the transmitter cases to hold stuff on the right.

Dood, no way!
