This ( in the pic ) doesn't look right to me, the tail shaft just barely goes into the frt. support brg. Is this normal ? or do I need loosen the set screw on the shaft colars and push the shaft further ahead ? link to better picture http://www.chopperron.com/fury_expert_problem.htm

You should be able to move the shaft further into the bearing. You'll probably need to let the set screw off abit and then tighten. On the shaft, there is a groove where the scrub screw should tighten on.

Thanks Ray, I just found the problem, I managed to find another frt. tail drive shaft in a box of spare fury expert parts, compared the 2 shafts and the one on my fury is 2mm shorter than the other, that explains why it didn't go into that frt. brg far enough, causing it to spin on the inside of the brg. ( it wore a grove into the shaft where it went into the brg. ) and I'll bet thats the glitch I've been chasing for the past year on this heli.
Must a been a factory machining error for this shaft to be 2mm shorter.
Thanks, Ron

I see by the gold parts on your machine it is an early one. Probably before the bearing block upgrade. You can buy the longer tail pick up shaft which is longer. The one you have is not suitable for your application. The part no. for the one you want is #120-9
