i want to learn 3dmax so i can model my own planes and helis for realflight g3, where is a good place to start? any good tutorials out therE?

Where did you get it? That software is about $3500 a copy.

If you have a legal copy, the online help is extremely good and the manuals aren't too bad either. There is a whole tutorial manual that comes with the software. Most book stores also sell books (with tutorial CDs) for the various revisions.

Start with the easy parts (shafts, screws, blades, etc.) Once you get those down you can move on to the really hard stuff like the canopy and frames. Of course, once you're done you'll need to learn the whole Inverse Kinematics system so you can animate it properly.

allright, thanks i didnt relise CD 2 was all bonus material, i also found tuts on the knifeedge site on 3dmax tuttorials for planes.
