This may be a silly question but can one run Reflex XTR on an X-box 360?

Both Windows-based; there has got to be a way!

If you could that might be fine if you wanted to play with Reflex like a video game - But unless you can use an RC Transmitter with it then it won't help you much as a training simulation - You'd be programming muscles to react with the little X-box controller rather than an RC transmitter - Waste of effort.

May be possible. The original X-Box is essentially just a PC, you can hack it to run windows. From there, throw on the sim, plug in your TX, and have fun. I don't know the specs of it, but sounds plausible to me.

Nick, that is what I am thinking. I was wondering if anyone had done it. I have an Xbox sitting in front of my plasma tube and I was thinking I sure would like to use my Reflex now.

Why not just hook your PC up to your plasma? Same thing other than the convenience of two PCs in different areas of your home.

Go search google, I have a friend who did it with my old X-Box, he said it wasn't very difficult to do.

Not possible, regarless of what the xbox/360 is running, xtr would need ported for it just like any other app that isn't native to it, and without source code that's not possible.(and the 360 isn't hackable like an xbox yet)

just to let you know xna just come out , which is a program to write homebrew games and play them on your 360 . 2d or 3d games . i been trying get a sim mapped out for it. well hopefully no one will do it be for me and it will be more then just a sim , throw some fun in there too.

"a little search goes along way" and "copy and paste" works just as well.

You are aware that the original Xbox is a regular Pentium processor based PC with an Nvidia video chip, right? No porting, no nothing. It's just a regular PC with some extra stuff attached to it. The controller ports are regular USB, just with a different plug attached.

It's probably a fun project, but Reflex probably wouldn't work, the specs for the original XBox are pretty low, it only has 64 megs of Ram.

Cap Chaos, I don't want to move the PC over to the family room. I could just buy another PC but the Xbox is already there. Besides it's more fun to learn how to hack the xbox for this than to move the PC or buy another one!

Maybe there's some wireless bluetooth gadgets you can use to run xtr in the family room from whatever room the PC is in - Or wire in s-video/dvi spdif and usb hub to your family room from your PC room - Probably easier than trying to get it to work on an XBox.

Yes it's mostly a pc in an ugly box but you still need to port code to it, it doesn't run any native windows/linux/anything code.

Nope, it runs Winders 2k. Its just a PC. The processor is a 733 Celeron, probably wouldn't run XTR very well.

No i will say again, the xbox is not a pc just 99% pc, it runs a modified 2k kernel and cannot run any windows app nativley, it's just not possible.
Dont believe me do a little research it's well documented.
