I have tried a few field battery setups, this is the best so far.

Two UPS batteries, each 12Ah, for a total of 24Ah.

I am charging 3s 2100 and 2s 800 lipo packs.

How many times are you charging those batteries before your main battery goes dead ?

I have charged the 3s 7 times, the 2s 4 times, and topped of my Tx battery.

When I returned home it took around 11Ah to charge the field battery, so I used 50% of capacity. I'm happy with that. These batteries should be OK to drain to 80%, and at 50% they will last even longer.

The main problem I had with other field batteries was not so much capacity, but voltage drop under load. I can put a 65 watt load on this setup, and it stays over 12 volts.

BTW on the 3s lipos I generally put in less than 1400mAh per charge. On the 2s, 500mAh.
