I just got a Trex 450se CCPM I have a JR 8103 Tx and I can't figure out the mixing for the CCPM. The manual does not say anything about CCPM. Does anybody know how to do this with this Tx step by step?

Thanks, John

On a Futaba radio, You need to go into the swash menu and set it for 3S or 120* mixing, also set your ail ele and pit settings to +50 Then set your servo reversing for pitch so all three servos move up together... usually ch1 and 3 servos are reversed the rest are normal... I don't know how much of this will apply to your radio but I hope it will get you started until someone with a JR radio chimes in...

Which version of the 8103 do you have? Some of the older versions didn't have the swash mix menu enabled from the factory. There is a sequence of button pushes that will get you into a maintenance mode where you can enable the swash mix stuff if have that version.

IF you have a newer version of the 8103, hold the MODE UP and DOWN buttons down while turning the TX on to enter the system menu mode.

You should see a menu with the following selections:

INFO-DISP
Model Sel
MDL Name
Type SEL
MDL Reset
MODULAT.
TRANSFER
TRIM STEP
INPUT SEL
SWASH TYP

Use the Mode UP or DOWN button to move the pointer so that it points to the SWASH TYP selection.

Press BOTH the MODE UP and DOWN buttons, you'll enter a menu that says [SWASH TYP}
1 Servo
NORM

Use either the DATA L/+ or R/- button to scroll through the selections until you see:

3servos
120

You're done.

Once you've gotten the swash type set, press the MODE UP and DOWN buttons to exit the system menu mode.

When you're in the transmitter's normal operating mode, press both the MODE UP and DOWN buttons to enter the mode that allows you to set things like endpoints, pitch curves...and then use the MODE UP or DOWN button to scroll through the selections until you see the [Swash Mix] menu. This is where you enter the mix percentages for the CCPM AILE, ELEV and PIT functions.

Start out with the values at 65. If any of the three functions is backwards, change the sign of the value from "+" to "-" or "-" to "+".

That did it, thanks . There's nothing that says that in the manual. I thought I would have to get another Tx. The values are at 60 on the Tx. You said 65, why would that matter? Sorry if that is a stupid question but I'm still a newbeee to CCPM. Finless video's say set the values to 50, but that's on a Futaba Tx.

Thanks for your help

Hi snapit,

dkshema, beat me to it. I have a jr6102, very similar radio. I adjust the swash, 60-65 based on the throw. Set everything up with the blades a zero pitch. Radio at mid stick

if the swash goes to low (cyclic pitch) so it fouls on the collar or to high, as to foul on the head assembly, you have to adjust the ccpm travel.

there are some great videos on 'the other forum' pm me for more info if you need it!!

Cheers,
Leslie
