I have been having a problem with my Trex 450. After about a minute (sometimes a few) of flying the throttle drops to a very low setting but not zero. I then auto in, go to zero throttle and then can throttle up and fly for a little while again. Then the cycle starts all over again. I think the battery protection is kicking in. It's set to low (3 beeps) but I want to reprogram the ESC anyway. I have checked the cell voltage when this happens and this even happens on a fresh pack (2 new TP 2100's) - voltage is OK, greater then 4 volts and balanced.
When I try to go into program mode I put the stick at full throttle and plug in the battery - the ESC makes the power up tone then BEEPS contantly. It never goes into setup mode. The throttle curve is linear (9,25,50,75,100) and trims are at zero (subtrim and hover throttle also). I heve tried numerous different trim settings to no avail.
This is driving me nuts. Anyone else ever had this problem? Any ideas? I am realy beginning to believe the ESC has gone bad.
Thanks for any advice...
