I can't figure it out. The heli flys level in a hover but when I do a roll to the right the tail seems to point down. I am sure I am applying full right cyclic. The tail just seems to drag down and the roll looks messy with the nose pointed up in a roll...unintentionally. my swash is level and I checked it several times with a dial caliper

I have noticed this too sometimes with my 600. I just add a little forward cyclic at the same time and bam smooth as silk. Are you sure your not pulling back just ever so slightly when pushing to the right? Its easy to do, especially if nerves are present.

Similar problem here -

could be phasing or gyro gain.

Have you setup your eCCPM setup perfect, I dont mean if the swash is just leveled through out the pitch range, I men if its stay "level" when you apply full aileron/elevator, in other words, when you apply aileron for the roll, does Elevator move, it shouldnt, but often it will.

I use this kind of tool to get it correct...

Mixes are needed to adjust interactions between aileron and elevator.

Edit:
Why?
When you apply pitch and aileron one servo moves up and the other down, however, because the servo horn is going a round movment and you are already above 90 degrees, the servo pushing upwards must go a further distance then the one moving down.

Thats why we have computer radios
If you have a JR9303 then you need to turn on EXP under Swash Mixing.
If you have a 14MZ there is an excelled guide here:

Mechanicaly HDE & CDE are the same to install. ont he Tx set up took me an extra 1hr to fine tune and get all my interactions out! Time Well spent!

and one more thing "DON'T BE AFRAID!"
