Hello

I was wondering what size pinon I should be using for my Neu motor.

I am using CC35, wood Align blades. Currently I am using a 11T, and getting a headspeed of about 2400 while hovering. For lipo, I am using 2100 TP 15C.

I am toying with the idea of using 13T, to get more head speed ... hoping to get feedback from people who have tried it.

Thanks ... Khan

What Neu motor? 1107-2Y?

If it 3400 KV I would think you would want the 11 tooth for the 2400 to 2600 range.. The Neu motor seems to be about 90% efficient so if you went with the 13 tooth the head speed would be over the 3000 range. If you are using wood blades or the plastic head parts that is not good. You might try a 12 tooth (Think its a Piccolo pinion). My friend has the Medusa 28-32-3400 and on the 12t on tp 3s packs and Hyperions it will turn 3180.. with Align 315 Carbons its right at 3000.

I am running the Neu 1107-2 with the 11 pinon right now. I have the stock plastic head/wood blades, so I guess I should stick to the 11T for now.

Thanks for your input ... cheers
