thats because no one cares about maryland lmao.

the US consists of the big 3, California, New York, and Texas... in that order.
Hahahaha DC isnt considered Maryland but you cant get there without going through Maryland (DC is big). We also have the best schools, and are considered to be the some of the wealthiest counties of the east coast.... Ever hearf of Potomac, Montgomery County??? take a look at the stats...

All that aside... I would love to live in Cali, that is my life goal. Gonna make it there soon, but need to get stable first.

"What If" you spent your whole entire life practicing and studying religion, and then when you died it strangly was like before you were born.....just kinda black, not much goin on? What if that? With all the hypotheitcals, this one certainly deserves a look at....
If this is the case then so what? No one has lost out and at least you have spent your time doing good stuff. But what if the inverse is true? What if you have spent your life rejecting God and it just turns out you were wrong? Eternity in hell is a long time! Your life, your death, your call!!

I deeply believe in God, I just don't believe in religion. Man made religion and look what it did to the world. I believe is is the worst, one single thing that man invented, yes even worse than war because religion, not God, is what is responsible for most wars.

I just find it hard to believe people follow religion SOOOO seriously. And if you take a broader look at the picture, Hell seems like a scare tactic. Religion is responsible for most All wars that have ever taken place. People take the stuff seriously, VERY seriously, they will die for their beliefs. To me that is just plain Nutz. Your killing yourself for some guy that supposedly exists, yet there is no proof, and no one has seen him. It also seems religion and god is for when your down in the dumps and have no where left to turn. It's comforting to people to look to a "higher power" I guess you could say that you have to prove it to me. No one has been able to do that yet....they just say you have to Believe, sorry that just isnt going to happen with out some hard proof. And I think if there really is a god, he'll forgive me for thinkin like this, he'll know I was a person who required proof to believe things. You may enjoy practicing your religion, so by all means do it. I just dont like the environment, and can't help but think what if its all a bunch of talk. People are comforted by thinking they go up in the clouds when they die and everything is perfect, they are afraid of burning in hell, so if you believe that, Heaven is the obvious choice. I just have one question for you.....Do you remember what it was like before you were born? I won't live my life fearing hell, or hoping for heaven, i'm going to enjoy my time on earth, when I die I'll get to see what happens, or it might strangly be like what it was like before I was born. Either way one of us is in for a surprise.

What if the known criminal Byron (helicopter) and all those like him were to STFU for all eternity? Then -- maybe -- we MIGHT have a shot at peace on earth.

Phil, it's not a question of whether or not holes can be blown in that misquided book of fables (many already have, here and elsewhere), but HOW BIG of a hole can any one misguided individual confront? How many minds can really stretch far enough to comprehend ALL the contradictions and bad advice given there on page after page? Not many at all. Toss in the Koran for good measure and you've got two frighteningly successful recipes for disaster.

Those cookbooks appear to be working just fine, by the way. Imagine that.

my question to you phil....who is god? Better yet who created God? Was he just "always there?" If there is only 1 god, why on earth are their so many different forms of religion? All different forms that kill one another because their beliefs were different? Why do you follow something when there is no proof? Why does everyone warship God, when no one has ever seen or heard from the guy? Why is hell used as a scare tactic to get people to study a particular religion? I've got my answers to all these questions, but i'll let you go first?

(Deperately trying to get back on track...)

When I was in school in the 70s, as a prank my class made up a batch of nitrogen tri-iodide (the stuff that goes bang when you throw the crystals on the floor) and treated the chem lab will a liberal coating as a way to spice up an afternoon of "double chemistry". Our chem teacher enjoyed the joke and was too busy laughing to even tell us off. (As the chalk "popped" as he tried to write, and the floor crackled every time he took a step - the stuff was even going off spontaneously all around the class).

I think if the same thing were done now, the bomb squad would be called, the whole class would probably be jailed as terrorists and the teacher fired for encouraging us. Never mind the haz-mat teams that would make it into a superfund clean up project!

The same chemistry teacher also helped us make the pyrotechnics for the school plays, and never missed an opportunity for an exo-thermal practical demonstration.

I'm glad I went to school when I did and not now. So maybe I did have to avoid the school bully at times, but overall I'm sure it was more fun than it is now.

Yup, those were the good ol' days. They'd letcha risk a burnt finger or two while you learned to solder together a Heathkit ham radio set, carry 293 lb tubas around in Marching Band and actually play tackle football. You learned valuable lessons with minimal risks and life was GOOD.

my question to you phil....who is god? Better yet who created God? Was he just "always there?"
The alternative is the big bang theory. There was nothing, then a sub-atomic particle popped into existance out of nothing and exploded to create the whole universe. Where did the particle come from? Same question, but every one blindly accepts it as fact. The evidence for it is only conjecture, based on what is observable now, i.e. billions of years after the event supposedly happened.

Truth is who created God? I have no idea. Did the big bang happen?again I have no idea. Both origins of the universe are feasable, but both remain unproven.

Regardless of how much science you throw at a thing, if you did not directly observe it, it remains unproven. Take radio dating of rocks for instance, using the potassium/argon method. potassium decays into argon. But the potassium has a half live of thousands of years (how can we know that, has anyone waited thousands of years to measure it?) You measure the ratio of potassium to argon in your sample, and bingo, you do the math and age the rock. BUT, you have no idea how much argon was present to start, or how much the rock has been subject to during its life. Therefore, it is at best, inspired guesswork. But we take these methods as undisputable facts.

Don't blindly follow any religion be it Christianity, Islam or modern science. Question everything and make your own conlusions.

Just my two-pence worth.

"Question everything" I believe that is a saying used by A.E. Pretty smart guy and even he said he was wrong on many of his theories.
