Hi, i want to know if it is possible to change the memory of an mp3 player?

You see, i have an Zodiac N`joy mp3 player with 128mb memory and i find that to be too little.( of course i could bring my PSP with a 4gig memory stick on it but i find it to be too big to drag around just for music)

So can i change my mp3 memory from 128mb to lets say 512-1gb?

I'm assuming it doesn't have an expansion slot for a memory card? If not, then no. They usually hardwire the memory on the board itself and it is not a seperate module that can be swapped out. As cheap as the flash players have become, you'd be better off just getting another player.

I saw in an ad today, a 1 gig flash player for $35.00. Can't beat that. I don't know how much they are in Norway though.

Thanks.
the reason i thought of this was because i saw a post a while ago about modding the GY601 to a GY611 by changing some of the internals.
but oh well,

Actually, you can do it on certain players...
If you have an "S1" MP3 player (unbranded china unit sold under many brands), then here's the directions: http://wiki.s1mp3.org//index.php/Ho...e_a_memory_chip

I upgraded a 256mb one got from Xerox to 1gb. The chip itself was $9 shipped from England. The procedure was tricky; a magnifying glass (or preferably a microscope), a fine tip soldering iron, and a glass of wine are manditory!
