Looking for some first-hand experience with some of the new 25c packs.

Thunder Power 2070 Xtremes and FlightPower 2150's.

It's going to be with a Medusa 28-32-3400 motor on 12t pinion. Both packs are priced about the same, and are within 100 mah of each other. The FP 2150s weight about 10g heavier than the TPs as well.

Does anyone have any first-hand data from a eagle tree or similar data logger w/ a medusa and these lipos ? How did they perform when they were new in comparison to when they had 50/100 cycles on them

Thanks.

zipphreak I have had both packs in my SE and when your spending this kind of $$$ on a pack all i can say is go with the company with a GREAT warrenty and that would be TP i had a warrenty problem with FP....and they told me to jump off a cliff... TP will take there pack back even if you damage it or want to upgread it to a newer pack.. Granted they prorait the pack but DAMN your not out the total cost of a new pack just because you pound the bird and pack..... TP all the way for me ....

I have both TP2070 and FP Evo 20. Both lipos give similar performance in HS but weight comes into play.. Evo 20 is aprx 10-14 grams heavier and you can feel that you have less punch-out vs. TP2070. Ill still keep my Evo and buy more TP 2070

I agree with Tomie. 3D-wise you can really tell the difference when you add weight. You might experience better climbout with the heavier packs but the additional weight will makes it more difficult to sustain altitude, for example a 4 point tic-toc.

Then what about sticking with the tp prolites. Are these not like 20-30 grams less than the 2070's.

yes they are lighter, but dont produce the power like the Extremes do. For a burst of the prolite you get a constant with the extremes

but, i think the feeling i'm hearing here is the extra weight completely offsets that extra amperage. i've heard more than one say the prolites fly the same as the extremes.

i don't know. that's just what i've heard. i'm still flying prolites on a stock 430L. when i get my medusa upgrade i may have to find out for myself

if it ain't broke, break it.

i have not flown the prolites yet, but mathmatically it makes sense that for the extra weight and the increased C rating that the exterems are the way to go.

I have 6 2070's running and 2 2100's and find the extremes are amazing. They don't loose their power so quickly as the 2100's. Extremes all the way for me!!

Sounds like the Xtremes take the cake on this one, but I was still wondering if any of you guys had collected any info with a data logger on the Xtemes or the FP 25c's? Does anyone know what manufacturer cells TP uses for the 25c xtremes ?

I think my mind is made up about the packs though

What are your balancer of your choice for your LIPOs? I'm assuming you guys use the 205/210 balancers? I have a Triton and Looking for something that is capable of standalone balancing, along with balancing while charging
