Received my 600 CF today, and when starting to build I noticed that I need to use quite a lot of force in order to rotate the bladegrips on the spindle when it`s all tightened down.

Is this a common problem, and if so, what to do? I surely can`t fly it like this..

Tried planks, but after all, wood is best on the bonfire.

No I don't believe that is common. Mine were very smooth and would fall under their own weight. Check the thrust bearings and make sure those are in the correct way but I think it sounds like you may not have the washer pushed all the way into the blade grip.

Helihover,
It is a manufacture defect with the spindle. The step down portion at the ends is too short. When you tighten the spindle bolts it compresses the thrust bearings. The step is only 5 mm long and the bearing is 5 mm thick, this leaves no clearance to spin. I have used a drill (as a lathe) an a fine file to trim the step back about .1 mm for a total of 5.1 mm. Takes about 2 minutes and your ready to put the head back together. I have done this on 3 Trex 600's.

Hi Helihover
Had this happen to one of my 600's as fox 222 said two minutes in a lathe or drill will put it to rights.Don't fly it until it is free running
