A few weeks ago, I was reading Lightfoots review of the Gohbee 50 in MHT and he mentioned and suggested raptor owners switch over to gohbee tail since it uses thrust bearings. So I ordered the tail kit from gohbee, it all looks good except I noticed the hub is aluminum like the stock raptor hub that so many change out due to failures. My question is has any of you Gohbee flyers had or heard of failures on this aluminum tail hub?

Thanks

I have not had any failures on my machine and still run the stock setup on all three. The new ( like this week) tail thats on the 30-50 machines have the same hub but with an upgraded 3 radial , 1 thrust bearing assembly. Will get that kit soon as Dave uncrates em'and ships it.I'll let yall know.

Thanks Stinger, that it the tail kit I got this week, 2 roller and 1 thrust on each side. I just noticed it was aluminum and there has been many rappy owners, me included, that upgraded to the SS hub. Not sure if it was a Thunder tiger aluminum problem or what.

Thanks

The new, as in the ones off the ship like yesterday have three radial and one thrust. two of the radials encapsulate the thrust. Supposedly more support. Of course the tail is one thing I havent had problems with.

Bill,

This shipment came in a couple days before the kits did. I am not trying to convince you I have the new tail kit but David ensured me this was the new released tail kit. When he sold me the tail kit, he was expecting the choppers any day so it sounds like they now came in as well. Matter of fact, he had to call me back because he hadnt even had time to figure out price yet. There is actually only two radial bearings and 1 thrust bearing but there is also a spacer washer. The order it goes in starting at the hub is 4mm wide RB, Thrust bearing, spacer washer, 3 mm RB. Anyway, sounds like the tail hub isnt an issue, thanks.
