Hello
Does anybody have more and deeper information regarding the CARVEC autopilot system?
Quality, support, availability etc.
Price for the basic system?
Price for the advanced system with GPS and barometric altitude sensor?
Does it perform well?

Thanks a lot for your comments!

Send John an E-mail and he will answer all your questions about price, support etc...

I can say first hand his support is great and the system performs exactly like he says it will.

I fully agree with Jason.

I have the full Carvec system on a maxi Joker which performs very well.
The quality and support are also very good.

I believe John is travelling today so he may not get any emails for a couple of days.

Hello again

Thanks a lot for your infomation. I have written him already 2 e-mails in the last days, but no answer until now.

Is it possible to install the basic system first, and to upgrade with the GPS and ALT HLD function later, or do I have to buy a completly new setup then?

Hi Raphi,

That is the route I took, I started with the core stabilisation system and then upgraded to the GPS position and altitude hold.
This gives you time to get used to the stabilisation system first.

The system is modular and fully upgradable so you do not need a complete new system.

He will probably be able to receive his emails by the weekend.

John recommends that you install the core system first then purchase the GPS/ALT system after you are sure the core is working correctly and you are ready for the increased capability.

When he is travelling he can be out of touch with the net for days at a time and then he has a ton of e-mail to wade through.
It is not unusual for a few days to go by before he gets caught up.

John is supposed to go in Asia for a couple of weeks (starting now or soon). That's what he told me a month ago before processing my order. He said that he will be available for support on his products via email.
